I feel lucky to have had Ivan as someone who I admired and respected and who became my hero from a very young age, shouting my support from the wooden stands at Belle Vue, defending his honour if anyone dared to criticise him. I held his pint of Guinness at a social meeting at Belle Vue whilst he kindly gave his autograph... and asked me not to drink any of it!! I found out from the man himself 7 years ago (again when asking for his autograph in his new book) that he didnt really drink Guinness! Thank you for the thrills, and may you now RIP..xx
