IVAN; MY CHILDHOOD HERO, IVAN: a good friend in my later life. I was privileged as a supporter on the terraces at the County Ground to witness the skill of IVAN as a rider and later as the British under 21 team manager to have the support of IVAN in getting my team to Australia with all our bikes and equipment and for the team members to enjoy the benefit of his vast experience on technical and riding matters. From my humble beginnings as a fan it was awesome when I was specfating at a round of the Aussie championships some years later in Kurri Kurri for IVAN to seek me out and to spend precious time talking with me. A real Man of the people and a true champion Thank you IVAN forever in my thoughts RIP
