Ever since I was fortunate enough to meet Ivan through his good friend in Adelaide Kym Bonython, he has been my hero and a mentor to me. I have learned much from his courage, his dedication, his professionalism, and his determination, but moreover the humility he maintained despite his hard earned success. Ivan has left a lasting impression on me, as he has on the many thousands who have also been privileged to have met or known our sport's greatest exponent. My deepest and most sincere condolences go to his beloved Raye, their children and family, and to his friends. Rest In Peace Ivan Mauger, my hero.
