Watching Ivan ride for the Belle Vue Aces as a child, going to Wembley and not being able to watch his last race which made him world champion. My mum told me, so my teddy got thrown in the air and went four rows back, it was returned to me. Back at Belle Vue to see him before the meeting, on the back of a car, with the championship wheel...... Photos a plenty.. He was my idol, then a few years later, my dad made him a cake of a speedway track, with Ivan and Ole Olsen on bikes, the best part of this, we went into Hyde Road pits, to give him the cake, before he left to go to the airport. He was amazed by it, so friendly to a very shy girl at the time.... I also joined his fan club...... Those memories are with me as if it was yesterday, I am so grateful that i was able to see him ride. He was the master, and will leave such a void in our lives.......... Thank you Ivan..R.I.P..
