I will never ever forget Ivan riding for Newcastle Diamonds. He was superb in every way and he made a permanent impression on me as a young boy. I was so proud for him that he went on to achieve so many accolades and memorable triumphs in his career. There was never any doubt in my mind that one day he would become World Champion.
