First of all my sincere condolences to the Mauger family. Ivan Mauger, well what can you say in one word PHENOMENAL PERSON AND SPEEDWAY RIDER. Having first seen Ivan ride at Hyde Road in 1969 for the Belle Vue Aces, I knew instantly he was the the rider who I would support throughout his fantastic riding career. He was a great influences in my life at that time of which I am truly grateful. Having met Ivan on quite a few occasions around the British Speedway tracks he always had time to chat, sign autographs, of which I have many. I thank you Ivan for the fantastic times in the years of watching you racing. The highlight which stays in my mind was the third World Final win in Poland 1970. What a phenomenal racing career. You will never be forgotten, many signed pictures hang proud in my abode. As a reminder of the great times you gave me personally. R.I.P. IVAN and a million thank you's.
