I remember the first report on the radio of Ivan winning the World Final in Sweden, his move from Newcastle to Belle Vue, and I was there the night he turned up in Exeter where I was a regular supporter. I last saw Ivan in Swindon a few years ago when he was promoting his book. He was the forerunner of the professional speedway rider. REST IN PEACE
