First saw Ivan at Brough Park in 1975 me as a 9 year old Newcastle Diamonds fan with my sister, one of my very first meetings. The thing I remember most was Ivan went round Brough in about 65 seconds. Wow instantly became my hero...after the Owen bros of course!!! seen him the odd time he came back to Brough with Hull Exeter. Loved his white leathers just in my opinion THE GREATEST SPEEDWAY RIDER. Do you know I think that track record at Brough stood for about 16 years!!! amazing. Thanks for the memories Ivan from a starry eyed little kid who loves speedway and you the speedway legend.
