Ivan was the consummate professional - the greatest of his era. It was not always a pleasure to watch Ivan, because usually he was beating our team, but one has to admire his will to win and the way he went about his business. He was simply the best and never gave anything less than his best. A great ambassador for speedway racing, the sporting fraternity will be the poorer for his passing. My thoughts are with Raye and his family. RIP Ivan.
