I send my condolences to all the Mauger family. I watched Ivan when he rode at Belle Vue and at Hull. He was undoubtedly the most professional rider of the era. I used to love mixing with the Aces riders in the bar after a Hyde Road match; but where was Ivan? He was already home stripping down his engine ready for his next meeting! A few years ago, I was fortunate to meet him at his book signing at the National Speedway Museum at Paradise Wildlife Park. I will treasure our photograph together. God bless him and the family.
