Ivan you were far more than a speedway rider. When speedway was the second spectator sport in Britain you were not only World champion but our number 1 at Belle Vue. You were our role model, you gave us an objective, be the best. You explained how to be the best and how to behave and prepare for challenges, and you carried on afterwards promoting the sport. You were a very special man, you should be well recieved up there, and you are sadly missed down here. Thank you for a great trip!
